A new life for your Christmas tree at Menade

Every year after the Christmas holidays, thousands of Christmas trees end up in Spanish trash bins, with no life beyond their decorative function. That’s why Bodegas Menade has launched the initiative ‘One Tree, One Wine’, encouraging families to bring the tree they no longer use to the winery in exchange for a Menade wine.

It’s true that more and more households are opting for artificial trees or trees made of organic materials like wood, but there are also those who choose to buy a potted tree to replant it later or keep it as a decorative element in the garden.

Richard Sanz, owner and winemaker of the winery, faithful to his ecological philosophy and promoting biodiversity in the area, encourages everyone who wants to give their Christmas tree a second life to bring it to Finca Menade, where it will be replanted.

The trees will retain a tag indicating their ownership, and donors will also be invited to enjoy a Menade Verdejo Organic 2023 wine, the new vintage of the winery’s flagship wine, which will be released soon.
