On the website you can book a range of experiences, according to your tastes and the time you want to spend on your visit:
- Menade by Secala: A complete immersion into the history and wines of Bodegas Menade, which includes a visit to the two wineries, the vineyard, and tasting of 5 wines.
- Menade Made by Nature: A tour of the more natural side of Menade, this visit will focus only on Rueda and will pay special attention to the ecological philosophy with which our wines are conceived. 3 wines will be sampled.
- Menade by Secala: A journey back in time through the historic winery dated 1820 and located in the municipality of La Seca, the origin of the Sanz family. We will taste a barrel-aged wine and a current one.
- La Custodia: A complete experience, with a visit to both facilities, which also includes a tasting of our whole range of wines, including the top wines that form La Custodia: La Misión, Adorado and Sobrenatural. An activity for very small groups.
We offer visits in Spanish, English and French. Our facilities are also available for private celebrations and corporate events.
For the safety of both visitors and the Menade team, we have taken a series of Covid-19 measures that include daily disinfection with ozone, the centring of visits around spaces in the open air ensuring social distancing, and providing sanitising gel, among other measures.
Menade Thursdays by Atypikal
In addition, throughout the month of July and thanks to the collaboration of Menade with the Atykipal restaurant in Valladolid, we present a series of themed dinners that will be held every Thursday.
‘Menade Thursdays by Atypikal’ will include transport from Valladolid, a short visit to the winery, a tasting menu prepared by the restaurant team and paired with the wines of the Sanz Siblings, plus coffee and drinks. The price of the activity will be 60 euros and capacity is limited to 25 people to ensure adequate safety measures.
For these themed dinners we will also be collaborating with Ibéricos Montella, the beef company Grupo Miguel Vergara, and bluefin tuna suppliers, Balfegó, in addition to Fuenteolid, Grupo Dromedario, Diageo, Grupo Varma, Scheppes and Solán de Cabras.
This initiative by Bodegas Menade and the Atypikal restaurant represents a new formula of wine tourism on the Rueda Wine Route, in which the priorities are the relationship with suppliers of high quality products, support for the restaurant industry, and the development of tourist opportunities in Castile and Leon, in a year heavily affected by the coronavirus crisis.
