Nosso & Clandestino 2018 now out

The end of Spring saw the welcome release of our new Nosso, from a vintage notable for heavy rains during the maturation period; and Marco is particularly pleased that as a result all our wines – and Nosso in particular – are extremely lively, fresh, and of higher acidity than those of 2017.
Nosso 2018 is distinguished by grapy aromas of apple and citrus fruits, together with overtones of brioche; and on the palate is zesty but rounded with a fragrance typical of the Verdeja.
Natural, of course, and with absolutely no sulphur, it undergoes malolactic fermentation in order to ensure microbiological stability; and due to the characteristics of the vintage, hard work in the vineyards and winery, we believe it has splendid ageing potential.

Sobrenatural 2015

As announced in our previous bulletin, this is another recent release; with a fragrance reminiscent of ripe peach, candied fruits and baked apples yet considerable elegance and pronounced minerality.
As with Nosso, this too is sulphur free, though it affords a radical stylistic contrast by virtue of its approx. thirty months in old French oak butts which admirably conserve its quite distinctive fruits; and we firmly believe that it will make a lot of people happy for some years to come. Whoever said that Verdeja was a variety of no ageing potential?!

Clandestino Tinto 2018

What do you mean you’re not drinking red wine over the summer?
This is obviously because you’ve yet to try Clandestino 2018 – our ground-breaking rounded Natural red made from old vine Tempranillo across in Toro. Given no uncertain lightness of touch in its oak treatment and a plethora of primary fruits – lively strawberry and cherry – together with a touch of caramel and suggestions of strawberry and cream confectionary, this is at its best slightly chilled and hence ideal and unfussy for this time of year!
